What Is Fogo?
Fogo is a Layer 1 blockchain built on the Solana Virtual Machine (SVM). If you already use a Solana wallet like Atomic, Phantom or Backpack, you can use it on Fogo without any new setup. The chain is designed specifically for high-speed DeFi trading, with 40-millisecond block times powered by a custom implementation of Firedancer — Jump Crypto’s high-performance validator client.
FOGO launched its mainnet in January 2026 and listed on Binance, OKX, and BingX on the same day. The project raised $13.5M from institutional backers including Distributed Global and CMS Holdings.
What Is the Flames Program?
Flames is Fogo’s ongoing rewards program. Season 2 has a total allocation of 200,000,000 $FOGO distributed to users who actively participate in the Fogo ecosystem.
Every week, a base pool of 500,000 Flames is distributed among eligible users. Your share of the weekly pool depends on how active you are across the supported dApps. The more you use the ecosystem, the more Flames you accumulate — and Flames convert to FOGO at the end of the season.

Step-by-Step: Getting Started
Step 1 — Set up a Solana-compatible wallet — Atomic, Solflare, Phantom, Backpack, or any SVM wallet works. I recommend using multichain wallet like Atomic that already support FOGO mainnet so you can store your FOGO tokens without having to install FOGO mainnet manually.
Step 2 — Bridge assets to Fogo — Use the official Wormhole bridge accessible via portfolio.fogo.io. You can bridge USDC from Solana (SVM) wallet – if you don’t have USDC on Solana, swap some SOL for USDC in your wallet before transferring to bridge. Keep some USDC on the bridge, as it takes 2USDC to transfer USDC funds from bridge back to wallet
